MusiXTeX

MusiXTeX Library [ to Japanese page ]

This is the library of MusiXTeX, a set of TeX mactos to typeset orchestral or polyphonic music. You can obtain some scores in MusiXTeX source files, PostScript graphic image and MIDI file.
The files in this library are free to use personally, but if you change the source or use them commercially, you have to take care about the copyright rule.

Old score library for MusicTeX and older versions of MusiXTeX. These scores are out of maintenance. They are going to be updated to the new library.

Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN) : The network of servers with TeX related archives. MusiXTeX is also available.

Score Library

You need TeX system, MusiXTeX Package, MusiXLyr Package ( from MusiXTeX add-on), MusiXExp package, MAB_Stlx.tex and MXTX2mml.tex to compile the source files in this library. See also `How to Get the Files' and `How to Install MusiXTeX' for details.
The PoscScript files are converted from DVI files by dvips with 600dpi PK fonts. Download them to PostScript printer to print. If you're not sure about PostScript, use Ghostscript to preview or print the scores.
Source files with `(WMN)' designation are for scores with White Mensural Notations. You need MusiXWmn package and GOTHIC Fonts (old German font available from CTAN ).
PostScript files with `(WMN)' designation are graphic images with White Mensural Notations.
MIDI files have poor expressive notations, since they are automatically generated from MusiXTeX source files with MXTX2mml and MML2MIDI. Be sure not to trust them too much.
With some exceptions, but the scores with version number less than 1.0 are not completed.
